Lecturer wins prestigious Thomas Mann Prize
Dr Malte Herwig, Lecturer in German Studies, has been awarded the Thomas Mann Prize by the Deutsche Thomas Mann-Gesellschaft for his forthcoming book on science in Mann's work. This is the first time that the prize has been awarded, and represents a considerable achievement for the author and the School. The award ceremony took place in Lübeck, Mann's birthplace, and was widely reported in the European media. Oxford Brookes at Bologna
Eleven students from the MA in Publishing and one member of staff attended the Bologna Children's Book Fair from 14-17 April 2004. Students had the opportunity to see the children's book publishing world in action.
