Lecturer wins prestigious Thomas Mann Prize
Dr Malte Herwig, Lecturer in German Studies, has been awarded the Thomas Mann Prize by the Deutsche Thomas Mann-Gesellschaft for his forthcoming book on science in Mann's work. This is the first time that the prize has been awarded, and represents a considerable achievement for the author and the School. The award ceremony took place in Lübeck, Mann's birthplace, and was widely reported in the European media.
