At the Oxford International Centre for Publishing and Journalism we were delighted to host 18 publishers and academics from Ukraine in the week of 19 January 2026. We had fantastic support from the publishing industry through their sponsorship for the delegates’ travel and visa costs, and the superb line-up of speakers.

Thank you also for the generous support from friends and colleagues in Oxford. Accommodation and hospitality in the city were provided free of charge by local professional families, adding additional hospitality and interest to the week.

Frances Pinter and Byron Russell put the programme together as part of their work for Supporting Ukrainian Publishing Resilience and Recovery (SUPRR), in cooperation with Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
