National Museum Workshop held in Oslo

Voksenasen, in the hills above Oslo, hosted the sixth and final workshop in the NaMu series on 17 - 19 November. Sally Hughes presented a short paper on museum guide books using material from her AHRC funded research in museum publishing. NaMu I is funded by the Marie Curie Foundation and the European Union under the Sixth Framework.

The NaMu programme supports PhD and post-doctoral students whose research concerns national museums. During the two years of the project a network of over 250 early years researchers have attended the workshops and contributed to the programme. One of the purposes is to provide research training. This conference concluded with the news that a book will be published of the best papers from the workshops. Sally will contribute to the production of the book as well as submitting a chapter on museum publishing.
