The Oxford International Centre for Publishing and Journalism is hosting 18 publishers and academics from Ukraine for the programme University Press Publishing for Ukraine. We have had fantastic support from the publishing industry through their sponsorship for the delegates’ travel and visa costs, and the superb line-up of speakers. Thank you also for the generous support from friends and colleagues in Oxford. Accommodation and hospitality in the city are being provided free of charge by local professional families, adding additional hospitality and interest to the week.

The programme is designed to strengthen Ukraine’s academic publishing infrastructure and support its alignment with international publishing standards and best practices.

Frances Pinter and Byron Russell have put the programme together as part of their work for Supporting Ukrainian Publishing Resilience and Recovery (SUPRR), in cooperation with Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
