Personal Profile

Chris Jennings has been a Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University since 1995 and has been the course leader for the MA in Electronic Media and the MA in Interactive Media Publishing.

In his early career Chris was a practicing artist and designer and has exhibited his photographs and sculptures nationally and internationally. He became involved in computer-generated art works in the mid 1980s and has subsequently worked in the field of computers for art education. Chris was one of the pioneers to adopt CD-ROM and multimedia technologies for clients such as the BBC, the British Museum, Harper Collins and Heinemann, winning several awards for these projects..

Chris is particularly interested eBook development and has produced a number of eBooks. His special interest is in eBook Typography and he has published eBooks distributed in the Apple iBookstore. His 'eBook Typography for Flowable eBooks', and 'From Print Book to eBook' have proved extremely popular for both self-publishers and publishing companies who need to develop an understanding of multi-platform publishing.
