Personal Profile

For six years, he was a presenter and reporter on Radio 1 Newsbeat, and he now freelances across Radio 2, Radio 4, Capital FM and Radio X making videos, podcasts and radio features. As a filmmaker, he's made documentaries for BBC One, BBC News, Universal Music, and various charities.

His notable works include an investigation into the role of artificial intelligence in songwriting, produced for BBC Radio 4 and the BBC World Service, as well as interviews with the likes of Matt Groening, Phoebe Bridgers, Zach Braff, Michael Cera, Biffy Clyro, and Wolf Alice - all broadcast on various BBC Outlets.

He also still tragically holds on to the notion that he might be an undiscovered musical genius; playing various instruments in a number of bands.

Specialising in audio and visual media, Will teaches across a variety of UG and PG media, journalism, and digital publishing modules. His main reporting interests are music, cinema, and television. When he's not lecturing he is a freelancer reporter for Radio 2, Radio 4, Capital FM and Radio X. As a filmmaker, he's made documentaries for BBC One, BBC News, Universal Music, and various charities.
