Alumni - Jan Kasprzycki-Rosikon, MA International Publishing

During a fascinating year at Oxford Brookes studying on the MA International Publishing, I met lots of interesting people - many of whom became friends - and worked as an intern at Harcourt Education (today part of Pearson) and a printer based in Oxford. I then moved to Washington DC to work as an intern, later a consultant, at the World Bank in the communication department. Half a year later I returned to Europe to work in Rights at Pearson Education (2006-11)...

As Head of the Rights Department I had the opportunity to take the content produced in the UK and sell it to other countries in Asia, Middle East, Europe and South America. I have now decided to mix my passion for content with the advertising/ marketing world. I set up the first crowdsourcing agency in Poland, MillionYou.

From a marketing point of view, brands now compete in a totally new ecosystem. They not only compete among each other trying to get their messages across to consumers, but also with Internet users, who produce interesting social content. In this new marketing world, we offer brands a way to co-create with consumers to build a relationship and dialogue. At the same time, open innovation and co-creation make it possible for consumers to work for leading brands, get recognized and be rewarded, and change brands they care about.
