I am now working as a Production Editor in a big educational publishing house in Oxford. I found my job just after finishing my MA at Oxford Brookes and I know that my dissertation had a lot to do with it. ...

The job is directly related to my dissertation topic - ELT Publishing in Spain - and this gave me lots to talk about in the interview. I didn't have any publishing experience before I started the course, but the MA was a great way to get a complete overview of the publishing industry, from production to marketing, and to meet really interesting people. It also made it much easier to find work experience, and discover several book fairs around Europe, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed!
