The Future of the Book in the Digital Age

Angus Phillips, Director of the Oxford International Centre for Publishing Studies, has edited (with Bill Cope) a collection of papers around the overall theme of The Future of the Book in the Digital Age. What place does the book have alongside a rich media environment of TV, radio, the Internet, computer games and the mobile phone? What developments are helping to sustain or disrupt the book’s place in our world? The authors provide an international perspective on the issues that affect publishing, bookselling, authorship, readership and librarianship. The Introduction is available to read here as a PDF (284k) and full details of the book can be found in the leaflet (PDF 84k).
