Pearson Education Digital Publishing Strategy Prizes

MA Publishing students demonstrated their creativity and innovation to win prizes offered by Pearson Education.  Proposals for new digital products for the education market, complete with working prototypes, were presented as part of the Digital Publishing Strategy module in the second semester.

The first prize of £400 was awarded to Yara Alkhamis, Ionie Ince, Julie Wellan and Emily Wells for Virtual Lab!  School students are able to conduct science experiments in an online virtual laboratory. A global market need was identified for this product and the imaginative approach and enthusiastic presentation were commended.

The second prize of £200 went to Nicole Flewellen, Virginie Garrett, Paul Peet and Marine Vauchere for Total Film. These students were commended for their detailed understanding of the needs of Film Studies GCSE and A Level pupils. They had thought laterally to propose cost-effective solutions to what content is required for this media-rich subject.
