Mandie has over twenty years experience as an Editor and leader of creative teams, in London, Amsterdam and Dubai.
She’s also the Editor of two feminist anthologies published by Penguin Life; Life Lessons from Remarkable Women, and Life Lessons on Friendship, featuring leading voices including Roxane Gay, Christina Lamb and Jess Phillips.
After starting her career in the competitive world of celebrity magazines when the right cover star could generate 600,000 sales in a week, she was hired by the Middle-East’s biggest publisher, ITP, to launch VIVA, a pioneering magazine for a new generation of women. VIVA quickly became the region’s top-selling women’s title and as part of the senior leadership team, Mandie helped win licenses to launch local editions of Harper’s Bazaar, Grazia and Cosmopolitan, changing the face of publishing in the region.
After relocating back to London, she led the digital transformation of the UK’s top-selling women’s wellbeing magazine, Zest, growing the brand footprint as Editor-in-Chief to include events, newsletters and books. She went on to hold senior roles at Grazia and Stylist as Executive Editor, before moving to Amsterdam and joining Rituals as Global Head of Content, overseeing commercial and editorial content for web, newsletters, social and video. Mandie now works as a fractional Brand & Content Director and contributor to UK media including The Times, Daily Mail and The Telegraph, as well as unofficial Amsterdam tour guide for visiting friends and family.
