The conference addressed a range of critically important themes relating to the book - including the past, present and future of publishing, libraries, literacy and learning in the information society.
The Oxford International Centre for Publishing Studies is delighted to announce that it will host the International Conference on the Book in 2005. The third conference follows on from the success of the two earlier conferences, held in Cairns, Australia (2003) and Beijing, China (2004).
The conference, taking place from 11 to 13 September 2005, will address a range of critically important themes relating to the book - including the past, present and future of publishing, libraries, literacy and learning in the information society. In addition to the contributions from the above speakers, there are numerous presentations from researchers and practitioners. Publishers, librarians, academics, authors, and associated professionals are all welcome to attend.The speakers include:
