Edward Elgar Publishing is an award-winning international publisher of academic and professional books, with a strong focus on the social sciences and legal fields. www.e-elgar.com EEP is seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic graduate to join its busy editorial team as a trainee junior desk editor on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be provided with full training with the intention of progressing to Junior Desk Editor within approximately 12 months.

The successful applicant will learn how to manage projects from manuscript to final files, liaising with editors, production/editorial colleagues and suppliers. They will assist colleagues with editorial work, providing support to the editorial production office, while working towards managing their own books for production. Excellent communication, organizational and digital skills are essential requirements. The successful candidate will ideally have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Adobe and will demonstrate enthusiasm to develop their skillset. Experience of InDesign and Photoshop are also desirable. You will need to be methodical, selfmotivated and highly flexible with good attention to detail and strong spelling and grammatical skills.
