Nic is Head of Acquisition for Medical Publishing at Oxford University Press, and an Oxford Brookes alumna. She has over 20 years’ experience of working in medical publishing. She started her publishing career at Blackwell Publishing, and moved to Oxford University Press in 2004.

Nic has acquired clinical, academic, and popular health titles across many specialties, including Public Health, Epidemiology, Infectious Diseases, Paediatrics, Geriatrics, Palliative Medicine, Oncology, and Surgery.

She has won many awards for her publications, including the British Medical Association Book of the Year award three times.
Her role now centres around managing the strategic development and direction of Oxford’s medical output, motivated by the evolving content needs of clinicians, medical trainees, and nurses worldwide, with a particular focus on digital publishing.
